Tinting the rear window?

Tinting the rear window? I'm sure this has already been discussed but I'm wondering, when tinting the rear window many people won't tint all the way to the top, I assume, because of possible damage to the black dotted area there. I've noticed many do tint all the way to the top. I'm just curious what opinions or experiences here are.
i always tint the entire window....cutting off the tint at the dot matrix looks like crap IMO. the only reason some people cut it out is because they can't get the tint to "stick to it" and it'll just look white there anyways.
depending on the car (some cars dot matrix is worse then others) sometimes i take some 2000 grit wet sand paper and sand the dots down some. that generally helps, and i have some stuff called pro-bond which is basically an adhesion promoter so that the tint holds better.

yea in addition to that, in the summer time anyways, i'll pull the car outside when im done, and let the sun sit on it for a while and maybe an hour later go back with a hard card and push out some of the remaining spots after it's dried a little in the sun
