gear shift boot on auto Firebird I just bought a red and black leather boot for my shifter to match the rest of my car, and i was wondering how do u install it on an auto? ive got it over the grip but im not sure how to install the bottom of the boot to my car. the way it is right now the little plastic peices slide back and forth with the shifter. does anyone kno how to do this? any info and pics would be appreciated! thanks

Just remove the shift ****, then remove the screws holding the console, ...
When you have it upside down in your lap, I think you can figure it out from there.

haha ya, ive been tryin to find an old thread for awhile now, nothin is comin up yet, so im still lookin. but ya im gonna try taking it all apart and see wat i can come up with! thanks tho
