center console question I HAVE A FRINED WITH THE 1995 A4 T/A... HES CONVERTING OVER TO A M6 SETUP, SO CAN HE LEAVE THE LOWER PART OF HIS CENTER CONSOLE-AND JUST PURCHASE THE 6SPD STYLE 93-97 UPPER CONSOLE>??

he's already converting, its his call, i know its not worth it!
I JUST WANTED TO KNOW..before he buys a complete ls1 style console and realizes there is a huge gap
he'll have with that style, cuz it will happen when combining the two.

The top should fit fine. Note: 1997 has the newer 4th gen console. If hes going to get it used he need to look for 93-96. Personally, I'd reccommend just changing over the whole console. It looks much nicer in comparison to the older one. He'd probably have an easier time aquiring one too.
Yes, he can just get the upper part of the console from a 93-96 Trans-Am and it will work..
BUT he can get a LS1 style console (top and bottom) and there will be NO GAP (it's a Trans-Am, not a Camaro) and it's a nicer console (cupholders and all)...
