Default Fitment issues with AVS tail covers

I picked up my set last night, the driver's side cover seems to be held on ok, but the passenger side seems way too loose. I can pop it out from the top by barely pulling on it, and it comes off whenever I close the trunk. Like the recessed tabs aren't deep enough to really catch the top of the tail light. Anyone else had this problem? Should I just go ahead and double-side tape the damn thing or am I being paranoid?

I had this problem with my GTS blackouts on the passenger side. The little tab is really hard to get under the light. Keep trying.

It seems like the bottom fits fine, but there's way too much of a gap between the light and the hatch for the tabs to catch. I always thought there was too much gap on mine, are the tail lights adjustable?

My AVS taillight covers fit fine. But I used some automotive-grade velcro anyway to keep them secure.

I'll get some up here tomorrow night, I have to work tonight. I also VHT'd the side markers and got my turn signal covers on. Just need to VHT the 3rd brake light. I may just go ahead and velcro the bastards down anyway to be safe.

Here is an idea I had for a one-piece taillight cover:
