Project "Pimp my seats"
I wish it just cost a few drinks to get it done. I meant I need a few drinks after paying for it.
Headrests are finished and shipped today. The shop should have them on tues/wed next week. Then (assuming they get it in the morning), the seats should be done the following day. So I'm looking at thursday/friday next week to pick them up.
. Can't wait to see your finished results. The shop has the embroidered headrest leather hides, putting them on today. However they are still working on the GTO bolsters on the upper backrest. Since there is no tuck right there, its tough to keep the leather between the shoulder bolsters to stay down and not pop up like a tent. They are gonna try to have them done by thursday morning.
I'm getting anxious.

Congrats man

180 mile drive......wasted.
Finally the day has come!!!!!! These seats are so different feeling over stock. I am actually sitting nearly 2" higher because my old seats had sunken down so much. Gonna take some getting used to. The shoulder bolsters don't look very big, but trust me you can certainly feel them. It takes a minute to find the right position so that they aren't pressing into you, but when you find that right spot, it holds you very well. I took a few sharp turns at speed and it held me very well. Now I haven't spent a lot of time in GTO seats, but it sure reminds me of them. I LOVE IT!!!
I still have to connect the power leads for the heaters, but i got time before it gets cold outside.
So without further adeau.......here are *some* pics (headrest pics coming next week). Oh, and the wrinkles will flatten out over the next few weeks, the pics exagerate how many wrinkles there are too.
