Default Lots of Lighting Mods (pics)

Well I've been keeping busy on the bird with all the exterior lighting and here are the results so far. I'm pretty happy with the way it came out. Let me know what you think.

I have had the 6.5K Kaixen H4 Hi/Low HID kit for a a few weeks but these shots look a little better than the lasts ones I took.

New stuff includes:
-Clear Corner Lenses
-LED Lamps for clear corners & Reverse lamps
-Hella Optilux LED halo foglights

The DRL LEDs I have are called switchbacks which will switch from white output to yellow when the turn signal is activated. I installed an electronic flasher for the turn signals but cant find the freakin one for the hazards. I have a video of them in action and they work really well. Here is a video of them.

Are these the same foglights *non sponsor links are not allowed*

Also, how did you do the reverse lights and where did you get the led's. I love the car by the way and you have given me inspiration to attack the horrible lights my lt1 has. Thank you

well possibly more than I would like to say but here goes lol.

3157 20 LED Tower Switchbacks were $25/each X 2=$50
Electronic EL12 flashers were like $12/each X 2=$14
3157 18 LED Tower Reverse LED's were $15/each X 2=$30
Clear Corner Lenses from ebay were around $22 bucks if I remember
194 LED's were $9/each = $18
Hella Optilux Halo Fogs were $55
Hella Free-form housings with H4 premium lamps ~$105
Kaixen 6500k HID Hi/low H4 kit = $390 shipped

so total is around $684.

Not cheap by any means but I love the car and wanted to do something different with the exterior. I guess you can say I spent more than needed but I like to keep things as functional as possible. I could have saved some money going to a cheaper HID kit and non wanting the hi-beam option. I could have gone with cheaper headlamp housings and standard LED towers for the DRL/turn signal. However now that everything is done, I'm happy with how everything operates and looks. I'm always trying to be a little different.

Thanks for the compliments everyone, keep the opinions coming.

I dont think I can post who I got the LED's from since they are not a sponsor so PM me if you would like to know.

I'm happy I've given some inspiration and thanks for the compliments. Those are the exact foglights I got. The reverse lights were just 18 LED Tower 3157 style replacements I bought from a website. PM me if you want the website. You have to be careful of your year of car since I ordered the wrong lamps because I guess they switched to the newer style harness in 97 from 1057 lamps to 3057 ones . I was too lazy to look lol. This seemed to only be for 97 though. The foglights were too hard to install but I did a little "persuasion" with the factory bracket to get the foglights where I wanted them.

Damn man, that all looks very nice. Definitely dig the reverse and DRLs. Good job. How do you like actually being able to see with those HIDs?

I'm really digging that, especially the reverse lights. Do those light noticeably brighter than stock? Where can I find those for my 01?

And do those fogs fill in the hole well? A lot of aftermarket fog lights are smaller than stock.

Runn - I actually was very inspired to attempt this after seeing your car. Obviously my car being an LT1 was a little bit different take on it.

WhiteStripes - Yea the HID's really do a great job over the stock and even my previously upgraded 100W halogen lamps in these same housings. As you can tell glare is very very minimal which I'm happy about.

The reverse lights definitely appear brighter than the stock reverse lamps. PM me if you would like to know where I got them since these are from a non-sponsor. The foglights are not as big as the stock ones so you may not like that. I think they look real nice obviously

ZROC - Shoot me a PM and I will let you know where I got them since they are from a non-sponsor like I mentioned.

Dudes, this is hot ****, if you want your car to look unlike any others, just modding the front corners like he did makes it look too cool.

I think it has something with how the LED's just seem to be so much more WHITE than yellow..........there's like a BLUE tint but if you go outside all you see is white, and the switchbacks so far have got people asking me where i got them!

If you have a 98-02 camaro, no need to purchase the second turn signal box as mine work just fine as long as install one......

Looks good! You should do a projector conversion with the HIDs, though... it would look MUCH cleaner compared to how it looks now with all that scattered light.
