I thought it was: Opinions are like ********: everybody has one and they all stink.

O Well, I do, however, agree with your post!

Thus, the point. I have a body kit. A lot of people tell me to take it off, just like they do to everyone else who has one. It's about as simple to remove it as it is to remove a twinky from a fat girl's hands. It CAN be done, but it won't end up pretty and frankly it's not worth the effort.

I can understand where people are coming from though, a stance really can make or break tthe entire appearance of the car and lets face it our cars dont have the best stance.
The whole bodykit thing does get old though. Most people on tech are extremely closeminded, If I reject something I usually try and make sure I say its just my opinion and it is your car so do with it as you please, and explain aesthetically why I rejected the idea. For Example someone told me to put chrome Xr1s on my car and i told them they just werent for me BECAUSE I think the spokes are to plain and wide to look good in chrome.
But true some people need to open there minds to other views and people situations.
Oh and you think its bad here go in the LS1 internal section, my buddy got some handme down parts (LS6 heads, SLP cam) and was asking about the combo and everyone is just going oh do a bigger cam and have the heads ported. Well we both work atr sonic and go to college and im pretty sure neither me or him have the 2 or something thousand dollars to drop to gain the 50 extra horses. In his title it even said "reasonable h/c package" it dfidnt say insane and expensive H/C package.

LOL, I had my pro-kit installed 60k ago and have been driving her hard ever since. When I first lowered her, everyone was like "damn that a pro-kit?". Now, 4 years and 60k later, everyone is like "damn that a sportline kit?"?

Who knows. Just do it so you can get a straight answer about what you're really asking and what you actually care to get feedback on.

Now that that's taken care of, can one of the mods please make this a sticky so everyone doesn't have to see this comment posted 30 times in each detailing thread? Thaaaaaaaanks.
It's the Appearance Section... what the hell do you expect? That's a BASIC APPEARANCE MOD...

Heck, it's even on the cheaper end of the spectrum....

This argument it like going into the External Engine board and being like, "Why does everyone say I need a lid, what the hell?!?!"

Again, it's a friggin BASIC appearance mod, so yeah, when someone says, "What should I do..." and it's not lowered, LOWER IT will be among the top responses...

I agree on your body kit statement though... Despite the fact that I LIKE Camaro's with factory body kits (I'd change the front lip but that's another thread...) people throw out there "!bodykit" like it doesn't take a LOT of work/money/time...

For the record, I just realized I lowered my car for $40... Eibach Pro-Kit springs in the front (new but out of box, un-used off of ebay) and heater hose mod in the back (no cut coils in other words)...

Not many appearance mods I can think of that are cheaper than that...

What I'm mainly referring to is when people ask what other's think of their new berger panel and 10 out of 20 responses tell them to lower the car.

Everyone knows Berger panels are lighter than factory panels (you sand off the factory paint and then re-apply ONLY basecoat, no clear coat making it lighter) and thus the car comes up on the supsension and MUST BE LOWERED TO LOOK RIGHT

Yes, but those of us that spent the time and money to re-center the rearend, get good shocks and didn't find some super e-bay special will tell anyone who asks that it's not as simple as swapping the springs, if you want to do it right.

One thing to add, and one that seldom gets mentioned, is that not everyone here BLOWS THEIR LOAD WHEN THEY SEE A LOWERED F-BODY !!!

I can find a whole shitload of people who think a slammed, fart-canned, stickered-up Civic is the coolest thing on the road, but it doesn't mean it is. So just becauce you, your car buddies, and whatever number of people from this sight have decided that all F-Bodies SHOULD be lowered, doesn't really mean that everyone gives a rats *** what you, your car buddies, or a number of people from this sight think. (I've got no problem with lowered F-bods, I just don't have a hard-on for them)

Don't get me wrong, I don't necessarily have a problem with critical or negative comments. But as ArcticZ implied, 50 jack-asses stepping all over each other to tell some guy his car needs to be lowered, is just ******' boring.
