i just put in dual filament bulbs instead of the single, forgot the number. both the the filaments light up and it is a little brighter. i could get the numbers if youre interested. i and a 1999 camaro, im not really sure if there is a difference in the taillights between the years.

I found some bulbs at PepBoys that are 55watt halogen bulbs based to fit (and advertised as such) in place of the stock reverse lights. Its a yellow & black package (backboard with clear plastic "blister" holding the bulb). I havent checked yet to see if they have melted the housings, but since the lights arent on for that long, I don't think its much of an issue.

I've been running around with my black-outs on full time, which means back-up lights are virtually nonexistant.
