Any way to stop the interior door panels from cracking?
Any way to stop the interior door panels from cracking? So my driver's side door panel up at the very top by the window and about even w/ my shoulder when I'm sitting down has a crack that began about 6 months ago. I noticed the other day that the passenger's door now has the same crack only a little smaller. One is a little over 1" and the other maybe 1/2" long. Is there any way to stop the cracks from getting any longer or is the only solution to replace the panels and have the same thing happen 5 years down the road? Oh and the car has 56K miles so it's not like it's seen a LOT of interior wear.

Remove the 'staple' in the area of the cracks if you get new panels.
Some people say that you shouldn't put the window in the full-down position, as you can see the door panel 'flex' when the window is going down that last couple inches.
