Pillar Gauges
So im getting full exhaust here in the next couple weeks and my dad says he will pay for a a tune after if i install everything myself (which i was planning on doing anyway) anyways i figure hey what not get an A/F Gauge and a gauge pod, may look kinda cool. ANyways... are there any other gauges i could put in incase i wanted a 2 gauge pod? Would it be pointless to have a A/F gauge? i love the look of gauges on the pillar thats the only reason i bring this up and two looks better than one. I asked one of my friends and he has a compas as one of his gauges and i know i dont want to do that cuz thats waaaaay rice so any input is appreciated(sp?)

IMO A/F is a waste, its not like its information you need to know unless you're in the procsess of tunning the car.
I would get a good water temp gauge (the stock one is known to be inacurate).

The non-wideband a/f guages will get ON YOUR NERVES. Trust me, I had one in my Mustang. It was cool for about a week, after that I almost ripped it out. They go from one side of the guage to the other like three times a second under normal cruise.
The only one I think you would "need" is a fuel pressure one. But even then you don't really have anything to really need that guage either. And having double guages (aftermarket and stock guages) on these car is really pointless IMO.

How about the AeroForce Interceptor gauge? It reads a ton of stuff and is simple to hookup. Plugs directly into the OBD2 port.

I would get a double pod and put water temp & oil temp. Like said, don't get an afr gauge unless it's a wideband. The triple pods look cool, but unless you're a runt you'll smack your damn head on the top gauge getting in & out of the car and it's just way to close to your head IMO. I yanked my triple out in favor of a double and moved my third gauge to a custom mount in front of the shifter.

I wouldn't add any gauges that your car already has. With the exception of the Water temp gauge. I'm getting a Nitrous Dry kit soon, so for ME, I'd do a A/F gauge to monitor the nitrous/Fuel mixture. On the other hand, just get a scanmaster and the gauges would be obsolete.

I would love to do the same, but I was thinking, A/F, oil temp and tranny temp. One of my buddies has an STI and he purchased a thing that threads up before the oil filter and has extra threads on it so you can still run the filter there. It is has his oil pressure and temp on it. It is easier and cheaper than drilling into the block. Does anyone make this for a F-body?
