Default Window Help (Tint/Removing waterspots)

Alright well I have my rear window tinted but I want the top part where the matrix is to be black. It has the clearish/see through color but I want it to be black. The tint isnt able to get in between the matrix. How do some people get in it? Im thinking of two ways:
-Heating the tint up with a hair dryer then pushing it in.
or
-Cutting off the tint right before the matrix then Nightshading that part of the window.

Thats my two guesses on how they do it?

Also my window has multiple water spots on it that I can't get rid of. I need to find a way to get rid of them because the make me mad. Any suggestions as well?

One way to do it is to remove the ceramic dots before you apply the tint with a razor blade
