should i do this?
i'm thinking of replacing the carpet on my door panels with a thin sheet of metal with a brushed aluminum finish to match my pedals, shift ****, and gauge bezel. i was also thinking of cutting some to fit as an hvac overlay and overtop of my radio dash install kit. just an idea what do you think? make it look a little more racecar-ish

You can always just mock it up before you actually pull the panels apart.
I think the brushed aluminum would definitely make it racecar-ish.
But if it's not done right, it will look ricer-ish.
Do the mockup and post some pics.

I saw a pic of it when doing research for my carbon fiber job. It looked just alright. The doorpanel piece was very large and unsightly and looked like a custom job. The only comments from the guy was that it was a pain in the ***. If you want I have a guy doing my interior in carbon fiber/fiberglass and he could do some stuff for you. Silver, black, you name it. PM me if you are interested

i really like that T/A door panel. a buddy of mine owns a junk yard i need to go T/A hunting lol. he lets me take nearly everything on the lot for no more than a few bucks so i'm sure i could clean them up.
