Default Berger panel paint?

Im doing a "berger" panel this weekend and have read everything and the sticky on how to do but i cant find anywhere that it says what kind of paint to use. can i use auto paint or paint from home depot or what? what is the best brand and type of paint to do this and where can i get it? thanks!!!

I just used krylon 1613 semi-flat black spray paint from wal-mart. Hope this helps,

Dupli-Color Low-Gloss black is the best I've found (get it from pretty much any autoparts store)... IMO it has the best spray nozzle as well.

Im guessing any spray paint will work judging by the wal-mart stuff you got haha. i went to home depot and got just some 99cent cans in semi-gloss

I painted my grill black..

word to the wize though... rock chips are a BITCH!!!.. here is what I did to further prevent them

I have a ton of chips .. so i resanded and painted with hightemp 1500* gloss black. used a whole can.. approximately 3-4 coats worth.. Then i went and used a thick high temp epoxy clear coat i picked up from a local autobody paint shop here. I burried that grill with a whole can worth of that suff.. Ive had my grill back on for about 3 months and there is not a single chip or scratch on it.. its almost like its been powder coated..

sweet man thanks alot for that extra info. im not gonna do the grille till i get my new 69' camaro grille emblem in though.

Nope. Then they would become gloss black unless you used a dull/flat clear.

do i need to put a clear coat over this? also, how do i care for this thing, wash, wax, polish, buff?
