Default Anyone ever dye their console?

I'm in a middle of redoing my stereo and so I removed the entire interior. My console has a huge burn mark in it from the former owner. I picked up a used console that was dirty but in pretty good condition. When I got it home and cleaned it up it looks like there are the 2 normal rub spots where the seat belts run but there are other areas that are all faded as well. What is the best way to fix this? I hear dying it is best but what should I buy and how to I dye it? My car has an ebony interior. I've seen some VHT satin black spray on dyes is that the way to go? Anyone have any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

To be honest don't do it. Ive done them with the plastiprep and SEM dye it lasts like 2.6 minutes. just dress the platic up and ull never see the scratches in your car.
