dash pad replacement
I got tired of looking at the crack in my dash pad so I decided to get a new one. It was about $170 from a local dealership, or $115 plus shipping from an out of state dealership. I'm not sure if it's possible to get the old dash pad out without cracking it, i know I couldn't. If you want to try, there's 4 springloaded clips and two velcro pads in the front, and 5 velcro pads in the back. Make sure before you put the new one in all the old velcro pads and clips came out with the old dash instead of sticking in the car.
Here's a close up of the metal clips in case you want to try to take it out without breaking anything.
Here's the aftermath.

I could take some tomorrow. It basically just looks like a new car dash.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, the dash pad is slightly wider than the a-pillars even with the plastic covers off. To get the new pad in it's easiest to just slide it in flat as low as possible. You'll have to bend it a little to get it past the pillars so be careful.
