Remove the two screws on the cluster trim and then remove it. After that you can just stick a screw driver in the clips that hold the lense on and pop them loose. Then remove lense and install bezel.

Is the one you made the self adhesive carbon fiber? That wouldn't be to tough. I meant actually making a new, thick piece out of layered carbon fiber to give the thickness of the aluminum ones pictured above.

How hard would it be to bring that brushed aluminum to a mirror shine, like all chrome and performance's stuff?

I wont think it would be any different from any other aluminum part. Different grades of sanding paper and finishing with Mothers or the metal polish of your choice.

Thanks, Chaman.

Is there a downside to polishing Aluminum? I notice everything they sell polished is stainless steel. So the brushed finish wouldn't be flat enough to just use some mothers billit polish?

I think thats the point of the sanding to make it smooth enough for the polish to do its work

Well, I know what the purpose of sanging is. I figured brushed would actually be sanded pretty well, and wasn't sure if it would need mroe sandinig. What grades do you think it will take? SHould I wetsand it?

I cant comment too much on the sanding grades but wetsanding would be better for sure. You should sand until the small brushed marks go away and a real smooth surface is present. From there the metal polish will do the rest. The only downside is, since this part is difficult to get at on a regular basis, that polished aluminum tends to get hazy with time. You could always have this part chromed.

I actually just listed one of these up for sale on eBay a couple of hours ago. It's the one they advertise as chrome. I bought it for my WS6, opened it and took it out of the bag, and then never installed it and it's been sitting under my bed. LMK if you're interested in it.

does anyone know where to get that surround from? i didnt realize they made these i love it! ive always wondered what to do with the suround cause i want a carbon fiber trim kit but it just kinda skips that part. I would like to have only the interior part but i dont really car. Do you think cf trim, bezel, and surround would be too much? or compliment each other nicely? i think it sounds good but you dont know till you see it sometimes. please guys anyone know where to get this surround? thanks to you guys i found the bezel on procarparts but now im on a mission to find the surround

I didn't know the Trans Am surround was different than the Camaro surround. 530transam, we may be able to help each other, but I don't know exactly what your asking for. I want a T/A Bezel though.

Christopher387A, is that a chrome one for the Camaro with all the little holes, or the one for the trans am thats shaped like a trans am bezel? I'm not sure how a chrome one would look with white faced, reversed glow, blue gauges, that's why I've been hesitant about picking one up. I didn't find yours on ebay, do you have any pics?
