Default Autozone Tint??

I'm going to have the glass out of my doors pretty soon, and was wondering if that roll tint stuff at autozone is any good? I'll be working with just the glass, if the windows out of the door, can it be made to look good? I'm fairly mechanically skilled, and pretty meticulous.

It is cheaper quality stuff for sure. Probably not worth it in the end, I wouldn't unless I only had 20 dollars.

Yea its not as thick as the stuff the pros get in those giant rolls. Im sure it will come out fine if you do it yourself, the only problem may be longevity. I mean it might not last as long/hold up as well as heavier stuff. It may start to turn into those huge ugly bubbles in a short time. Also it may start to get scratches / nicks sooner. I had mine done professionally, and i have a habit of taking off my seatbelt fast and ive thrown it up and its hit the window a few times and nicked my tint in a few places. I think i paid 40 a window, for the driver and passenger windows...

Gotcha, I think I"ll try it on a spare piece of glass first, then if I don't like my results, I'll get it professionally done.

i would jsut save alittle longer and get it done, plus you'll have a lifetime warranty as long as you go to a good shop

I did my own tint once on a eclipse and it turned out good. But after about a year it really started fading and turning a different color than what i had originaly bought. Oh yeah i purchased the tint at Auto Zone.

It would look very good as long as u dont get the ink based tint..it tends to change colors after a while..The mineral based tint isnt supposed to change colors..
