Black mirrors?

I tried searching and couldn't find anything on this. I have a 98 z28 that is silver w/ black mirrors. Can someone tell me what cars came with the black mirrors or is it just random? Just curious....

1998-99 had black mirrors and 2000 and up had body color mirrors. Not sure about the LT1 cars.

Mine has black mirrors too. Can you buy pewter mirrors separately?

I'm gonna paint my cowl hood soon, so I guess I'll go ahead and do my mirrors also. Thanks for the replies guys.

I was just thinking of this subject last night and was unsure about lt1's. You generally see more lt1 camaros with black mirrors than ls1s. Im sure someone knows the answer.
