ss spoiler LEDS
i had two go out in my spoiler and i can take the light apart as to where i can change out the bulbs, does anyone know the bulbs that gm uses? so i dont have two bright lites and the rest dim?

Interesting question. If you cannot find out the brightness of the OEM LED's, I say just replace them all so you know they'll all match each other. It's fairly cheap as they are ~.47 cents a piece.

Where do you get replacement LED's? I have a few out in the SS spoiler I bought.

RadioShack's LED's are around $3 and up per LED. Try looking for places online like Oznium etc that offer them for cents a piece.

i bought 500 from ledshoppe.com for around 20 bucks.
i think im just going to replace all of them, thanks

i had one of the techs at my work take it apart for me. i think he used a heat gun or something.

I'm pretty sure that they go for well over 100 bucks if youre willing to pay that much for a third brake light.

they are about 90 bucks plus shipping from gmpartsdirect.
so far the cheapest i found were 80 from a dealer.
if it doesnt work out ill just buy a new one i guess.

i asked a couple guys about this, about a year ago and they said that theres no way to change out the leds themself..but its worth a shot..hell if you do it and it works you might have to be a sponser on here lol..cuz i know i need one and i really dont have the extra cash for a GM unit..

Yes!! If anyone figures out how to do this I would love to know! I can't figure out how to get the plastic housing apart! GM is quoting $140 to replace it. Not worth the price.!!

well i priced one out here in so cal and i got 188 $ but if you people say you can take it apart i would love to see it go back together descently without leaks!!!!
