Off-Color Paint in Engine Bay?

Off-Color Paint in Engine Bay? I took the belt routing and emissions stickers off of the drivers side strut tower not realizing that the paint would look different underneathe them as opposed to everywhere else. Now I have two squares where the paint looks brighter or newer and its annoying me. Anyway to blend the two areas and make it look better? Thanks in advance!

That's a good question. Try claybar, if that doesn't work try working in some mequiar's scratch x- around the entire area. And if that doesn't work then maybe you'll have to somehow buff it? Not sure if all this is as possible since there is no clear coat to work with.
Take a nice FINE compound and lightly get around it. That will clean the paint up quickly and easily, but be careful as the paint is single stage and THIN! After that follow it up with a wax to protect it and make it easier to clean next time.
if youre just talking about a slight white residue left, its part of the "sticker". that sticker was no regular sticker, at least not on my car. it was almost like it was painted on. i just used a little brake cleaner and it took it right off.
