Is there a fix for this????
Is there a fix for this???? I decided to remove my side moldings today and naturally my car has been painted with them on or at the very least cleared with them on. Fortunately I only did the small one by the rear tire. I got it removed, got all the glue off, buffed out the line and wouldn't you know it, it left an obvious (to me anyway) indention the shape of the molding. The paint looks the same but it's obvious that the clear is not as thick as it is everywhere else and it's in the exact shape of the molding. I guess my question now is can that area be cleared and blended in, or will I need to repaint the whole damn thing or what? I really wanted to do this mod because it makes them look so much cleaner. Help.......
The whole panel will have to be recleared. Mine was the same way except it took the paint off awell. It was my passenger side so when they painted my door (it had got beat up from awesome people thinking it was a buffer for their door) I asked if they could fix it since it was right behind the door. They blended the paint and had to clear the whole panel. My passenger door and getting that fixed and blended and cleared was $350, so not too bad.
