Are the door panel trim stuff supposed to light up?

Default Are the door panel trim stuff supposed to light up?
All those lock/unlock, and window buttons on the door panels, are they supposed to light up during the nighttime??? Cause my don't and if they do, how do you make them light up again?

the button's themselves don't. there is a small bulb above the door handle that is supposed to light up though. i guess they think that the bulb there will illuminate everything.
