Racing Seats...
Ive done a bit of searching and have come across some pics of a few brand name seats and most look great, but I still want some more feedback on some of the brands and the off brands before I drop any money on them. This is a daily driver car, so comfort on a daily basis is a factor.
So here are my main questions of concern...Maybe this thread will get me the seats I will be most satisfied with.
1.) What brand name of seats do you own or prefer?
2.) What brand of 5-way harnesses are you guys runnning?
3.) How well is the fitment? If modifications were done...Explain Please...
4.) Overall Seat Quality, Feel and Comfort level...
Im looking for the best bang for my buck, but I'm will to spend whatever it takes to get a good seat over crap!
TIA

I just went with a basic kirkey seat, I dont know if Id want it on a daily driver tho, I put extra padding under the cover it made it a lot better than it was, when I first got them they were hard as a rock, just remember that if you put an aftermarket seat in your car NHRA wants the bracket on the back with braces welded to the rollbar.I put a RCI harness in mine.

Here's a link to my new seats.
https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...ighlight=seats
1.) I have some MRC seats, same manufacture as Arizen, different distributor.
2.) No 5 pt. harness here, I DD my car so I use the stock belt.
3.) Fitment is great, I'm using the stock brackets so I had to make an adapter for the seats to fit.
4.) Quality, feel, and comfort are all top notch. I love em'

First off, great thread to get some good reviews. I too am looking into a pair, and have been looking at the Summit seats for price reasons, and because it's about 30 minutes away from me. Not trying to hijack the thread or anything, but thanks for posting this.

Used to have Sparco Torino 2's and I hated them. They sat up too high, weren't wide enough for a bigger person like myself, and just overall were not comfortable.
I have some suede Corbeau CR-1's coming in soon. I have sat in them on a disaply stand but never in a car. The seats themselves were VERY comfortable and I have beent old by several other F-body owners with these seats that they are well worth it.

1. Corbeau A4
2. RJS 5 point, camlock (love it)
3. I HATE the corbeau brackets. I can barely (with an hour per side) tighten down the back 2 nuts underneath the seat.
4. Seat is comfortable for a couple hours, then it starts feeling kinda wirey. I wish i had gone with the CR1. I am actually going to be changing to a Kirkey economy seat since i feel i did not save much weight with these A4s.

I have the Sparco Fighter seat, I rather like it with the lumbar support cushons. I use it as a daily driver, but it never gets taken anywhere over a two hour drive, and I doubt it would feel very good around that point. But overall I love the seat! Heres the only real pic I have of it.
