under hood uh.. black ****
the paint on the strut towers is burnt looking, or has burnt on dirt on them, is there any way to remove it? i used a plastic scrubbing brush with some engine brite degreaser and scrubbed it off of the front part where the radiator shroud is. but the towers are hard to get to to scrub.

Does it look like this ?? If so I think it is some sort of under coating.
I was able to get some of the coating off using a rag soaked in Acetone. Just be carefull not to rub in the same spot for too long, you'll take the paint off. I don't have any new pics since I took that shitty looking coating off.

ive tried everything...
rubbing compund, goof off adheisive remover, bug and tar remover, polish, gas, terpintine, etc.
only thing that took it off is the engine brite.

i tried acetone and it took it off realllly fast, but some light paint came off even with minimal pressure. only spots i didnt get are under the ABS motor and brake lines, and on the pass side electrical junction.

That black stuff you see is actually part of a paint protection package and undercoating and a rust-proof package that you can get when you purchase the car brand new, its a pain in the *** to take off tho degreaser would probably be your best shot, good luck
