Default How to Disable Shift Button

Move this to Transmission section if needed, but I was asking because I wanted to change to a Hurst Pistol Grip shift ****. I have read how to shorten this when shortening the shifter, but I wanted to know how to disable it altogether when I change to an aftermarket shift ****. Thanks

I'm assuming it's been done before because of the MBA Auto ***** not having a button, but maybe not.

I bought the MBA shift adapter and **** back when they were in business. I think you can still get an adapter at Thunder Racing, since they bought MBAs stuff. It is pretty cool that all you have to do is push down and it looks much nicer than the huge shifter in the ta's.
