so i am getting tint done on my windows when i get my taxes back and i want to know what film is the best an what is a reasonable price for getting it done. i was quoted $200 for it done all around but i dont know what film that is for. also in a state thats legal limit is 35% what do you think i can get away with on a black car. i have always thought that black cars tint looks lighter than it really is. if you have pics to show me that would be cool too

i think i was quoted 150 for everything, . . about "what film is the best" it depends on your taste, . 35% means 35% of the sun rays "seeps" through, so 5% is the darkest, even though i've had some 2.5% on my daily driver, . . 5% is more common, . . here are some pics of my car, https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearance-detailing/545680-my-ta-won-1st-place-car-show-here-s-pics.html 5% all around and 35% for the front windshield, . . in the 2nd pic down the mustang on the left looks like he got some 35%'s on, . . .good luck man

I have 20% on the sides and 5% on the hatch. I have a white car i havent got pulled over yet. (don't have any pics brecause of the snow storm) mine cost $200 for the best film 3M

My friend window does tinting and uses Soltech film. It's pretty good, but I perfer Llumar. He usually charges $180 to do a Camaro or Firebird and will do the rear in one piece. Depending on what state you live in, and how hard up the cops are about tint will determine how much you can get away with. 20% is usally a nice all around good choice.
