Changing the gauge cluster bulb color?
This spring I'm thinking about changing my cluster bulbs. I have aftermarket white face gauges. I'd like to change to blue bulbs, is this a remove the old, toss in the new thing, or is it more involved? What about LED's? Anyone have pics or input?

Just pop them out and change them?

haha where have you been for the past few years?L.E.D. meaning light-emitting diode. TO make a long story short, there a very bright, with an extreme colour light that uses less power then a regular bulb but is alot more visible then a regular bulb. Conductors made out of different materials determines the colour of the LED, example,
aluminum gallium arsenide (AlGaAs) - red and infrared
aluminum gallium phosphide (AlGaP) - green
aluminum gallium indium phosphide (AlGaInP) - high-brightness orange-red, orange, yellow, and green
gallium arsenide phosphide (GaAsP) - red, orange-red, orange, and yellow
zinc selenide (ZnSe) - blue
sapphire (Al2O3) as substrate — blue
indium gallium nitride (InGaN) - near ultraviolet, bluish-green and blue
gallium nitride (GaN) - green, pure green (or emerald green), and blue also
white (if it has an AlGaN Quantum Barrier)
just to name a few, typically you can get LEDs from car parts stores or big rig truck stores, mainly because alot of big rig tail lights are LEDs nowadays

I know what LED's are , I said "what" ones to use.
Anybody buy certain ones from a particular place?

Yeah they look good because they have a blue look to them. I went with red on mine, I used 194 with 4-LED's on each

I used ledgauges.com LEDs for my red but I also put white in my v6 and they were more blue than white.. But get the 194 bulbs like the first one that was posted with I believe the 5 LEDs in it.. That will work and look great!
