there have been a few threads about this, and i think it looks like just an unfinished, primered panel on a black car

There are some pictures floating around here but I dont really have time to look right now.. But as said above it makes the panel look unfinished.. Like you screwed up your stock one so you went and bought a new and havent had time to paint it yet..

I've seen the Silver . . . . looks more out of place then the primer-look

I'm asking my self is this one of those you have to have mod no matter what? Goodness....

As others say it just looks unfinished, look at the pics above to me it looks like car got hit and hasn't been painted yet.

That's more trashy looking then a non painted carbon fiber hood, atleast a C/F hood loses weight and or frees up room, on most cars interesting fact I just heard was wrx hoods stock weigh less then C/F hoods.

ok babbling over.

I love it, even thought it doesn't stand out a lot. It's the subtle things that make the difference.

But for your reference, the SS 396 first gen cars (the inspiration for the black-out rear) did not have the matte black on black cars. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Either way, I like it...although it's not gonna net you much for your work.
