help applying vinyl

Alright, so i am trying to decide if I want to get the inside of my SS hood painted or not - so im going to put vinyl there for now to see if I like it... So i tried this weekend

I went down and bought a sheet of it this week and got a decent cutout and went for it with no real instructions or anything and it turned out with a lot of bubbles and was stretched out and what not..

Anybody got any better advice on how to apply this type of vinyl better? I tried searching but all i got was to wet it really good first.. is that all I need to do?

use a sponge and dish soap to smooth it out and get all the bubbles out

Is that to get the bubbles out of the one that I have on there right now? Or the one im going to be placing on there...

when youre putting it on. the soap will amke it so you can slide it around and the sponge will move all the air bubbles out

16 ounce spray bottle of water. 2/3 water 1/3 rubbing alcohol and 10 drops of soap. Soak paint and vinyl before applying, squegee out water wait 10 mintues, spray mixture on top of transfer tape till it wrinkles, let sit for 2-3 mintues then peel off. squegee out remaining bubbles, let sit in sun for a few days. then ENJOY! thats the exact way i did my side stripes. if u need anymore info, pm
