Did you screw into the overflow tank to make the wireing stay flat like that? Is that the BMR tray?

Believe it or not, the brass is held on by double sided tape. No problems with it either.

The main purpose is to move the weight (35-45 lbs) to the rear which allows for a better launch...

With my set up I don't wan't to have the empty space because it will look out of place. I wish they made a dummy battery that I could put there. I am trying to find some sort of box that looks like a battery cover. I have found a few but they are made to go in the trunk and they are huge and would be too large...

^^^What do you think of these? http://www.cardomain.com/shoplist~b~Optima~t~Battery+Accessories

I think they're covers for the optima batteries, but might look good if you just put them in there.

Any weight you can remove from the front allows the front end to lift up more forcing the rear end to the ground plus the relocated weight is on the rear end also forcing the tire to the ground so it is a double advantage.

Some people need the space for fuel cells and what not, so there are other advantages for different applications…

Mine was strictly for appearance reasons, however, yes 30-40 lbs is significant. Remember you're not only taking 30lb off the front, but adding 30 lb to the rear where it is beneficial. Net weight transfer of 60 lb.

Not to get off topic but, So technically is it better to leave the spare tire and jack in the rear or is it better to remove it?

It is better to remove the spare tire/jack because you are removing 40 lbs that you don't need. Not sure on the exact calculation but I think it is something like every 100 lbs is a tenth of a second. With relocating the battery you are not loosing any weight you are just transferring weight... Think of it as swapping fat for muscle, you didn’t loose any weight but you can perform a lot better …lol

you can very easily get an old battery and pull of the top. all of those lead plates will just pull right out. just wash it out and glue the top back on. we did that at kragen so we could have a display battery. and it weighs less than 1 pound

That's kewl! I do have an old stock battery and I thought about that but I was afriad of burning myself with acid. Do you have any tips on a safe removal? Do you have any pics on the inside?
