Best way to maintain, post detail
Its Meguiar's 3 step'd right now. I continue to wash with Meguiars Gold Class using a Meguiars mitt. The swirls haven't returned....yet. Its bound to happen on black.
When they start to return, is it best to use step 2 (polish) and 3 (wax) to return it to the post-detail condition it was in? Or will just 3 do the trick?
Thanks.
Wash - you can find plenty of info online about the two bucket method. Learn it and use it (if you don't already).. along with a good lambs wool wash mitt, and a nice, quality car shampoo/soap. Meg's. Poor Boys, etc.
as for drying .. a leaf blower, then waffle weave micro fiber towels to blot dry is the best way to prevent swirls .. blot, don't rub.
Use of a quick detailing spray and high quality MF towels to get rid of minor dusting will also help minimize swirls ..
I use both the waffle weave and a chamois, 2 bucket cleaning method, but no matter how hard I try, I know the swirls on a black car will return. So far they haven't, but I know in due time they will.
Thanks for the advice guys.
