[QUOTE=LOHRTBT]WEll..I have them on my car and the quality is a step below horse ****! HOWEVER...I do love them now as they make my car stand out and either people love them or hate them. I have removed the shitty cheap plastic covers , filled in holes, remolded them and added an HID kit.

Pretty happy with them now.
Wow.. all you have to do is almost completely remake them! That is a nice looking TA though

haha! yeah...and just so you all dont think I am completely nutz...I bought them used with cracked lenses...still paid too much lol..

Yes..they had to have a lot of work done to them, thankfully I had a buddy in the body shop and he hooked me up..otherwise about $600 in extra work DOH!

There are other pics of it at regular height and angles and such on my cardomain page... I am gonna update it again when it gets nice outside. I am gonna be getting new wheels soon too. I love them but want a change.

As for the HID kits...I have not seen one done in the Popups but I have a couple buddies that did them and love them. Just have to buy the sealed beam conversion from Eurolights and then order an HID kit.

I love the HID's I installed in mine.
Here is a higher up pic.

I like them on my car. Def' took some custom work to make them fit and to make them look better, and the quality is so so. Its not bad, but for $1,000; I def' thought i'd be getting a better product.

If I was keeping my car (check 4sale section) , I'd probably go with a HID Kit, as the lowbeam is a LT-1 Headlight, so finding a kit isnt hard.

I generally don't like pop-up lights, but the ones on the LS1 'birds are about as good as they can look when they're up. I would definitely not go with the conversion, especially for the price.

LEDguages.com has your HID kit. He's a good guy and is fast at shipping. He's a sponsor here and can be found in the For sale area. Where the sponsor's sales are Hope it helps. I got my kit and love them. I have the sealed beams in mine and they don't glare as long as you aim them. I LOVE my kit though~Cole~

In the process of making mine.

None pop ups with C6 projectors and HID highs/lows/fogs. Molded into a breathless kit, with smoked lenses.

Supposed to be done this spring, but it's on the back burner. As with everything else on my car. I'll be lucky if its driveable by summer time

This summer I might put the pop-ups back in. Its a love/hate relationship with the no-pop-ups.
Good luck on your HID conversion

Sure, in 1983 they were still cool.

I'm going for a look similar to this... This was photoshopped on my car. The C6 lights are a little too big, and not in the right place. But gives you an idea. I'm going to smoke the covers with a little black paint mixed with some clear. Probably go fairly dark with them...

Keep the pop-ups. Even though I can't stand Vettes as it is, I was pissed when they did away with the pop-ups... they were the last American-made car with them. I was also pissed when Pontiac did away with 2-door Grand Prixs... there goes my blood pressure again.

The new search function is great, except when half the people in a thread don't even have the same car anymore....lol
