Seriously.
It makes me so mad.
I just want to chock him! he was a hick too.
>.< I hate this town they have no respect for the ones with nice cars.
I just saw a WS6 get totalled on the freeway today by a semi in the rain... It was a 97, and they lived although the car was no hope in saving her.
I felt so bad; I was looking at them while we were slowly driving by and I almost started crying O.o...

How much does it cost on average to have just a bumper painted.

I just got quoted $630 along with putting in new signal housings (mine are dull/cracked), it was like $550 before that. I swear I paid $250 for it before (this will be the 3rd repaint!) but I'm pretty sure that paint wasn't very good because it chipped EASY, pretty weak.

Last year the first night i put my car back on the road, also the day it came out of the body shop after having a few things touched up on it, my girlfriend and i went out to dinner and down to our local Circuit city. Well when i came out of circuit city there was a truck resting up against my front end. The *** must have forgot to leave it in gear or put the parking brake on or something. SO i had to hold the truck and have my girlfriend back the car up and i just let that piece of crap go rolling down the parking lot. Then i waited there for about 20 minutes waiting for this guy to come back outside but he never came out. It jsut pisses me off like you guys said that people don't seem to have any respect.

Ya know about 2 weeks ago I was gonna make a similar post but now I can share my annoyance in this thread. I went to a matinee and I was parked around NOBODY but obviously as soon as the movie is over the parking lot is much fuller and there are cars on both sides of me. So I begin my walk to the car and I can see an old lady going to her old lady Cadillac sedan. It's parked right next to me. I begin running. As I shuffle to a walk right when I am at my rear bumper *thump* "Hey what are you doing?"
Old lady: "What?"
Me: "You just hit my car with your door."
Old lady: "No I didn't."
Me: "Yeah you did I saw and heard it."
Old lady: "Well I didn't do it."
Me: "What are you talking about you opened your door right into my car."
Old lady: "The door just opened - I'm sorry."

Now this proves that I can see the future because I saw it coming. As soon as I see old lady, a Cadillac, and my car I just know. It's a given like a simple mathematical equation. Since you can't strike senior citizens in this instance and the fact that she's living out her last days I decided not to get too pissy. I just told her to wait and let me leave so she wouldn't open her door into me AGAIN. Obviously it had already happened twice if she couldn't get back into her car without hitting me and I wasn't going to watch a third. I backed out, checked the car and saw nothing but it was rainy and the car had a beautiful coating of grime. I saw the old lady trying to look over my shoulder and just did my best to ignore her as I got back in my car.

Once clean the damage wasn't bad. No dents or chipped paint but there's a line of defected paint that at first glance looked cracked. I still can't believe that crazy old broad tried flat out denying it to my face, twice. She's probably the type of old lady that would steal the apple sauce from her sleeping roommate at the home.

i know what you are talking about. a short time ago afriend of mine backed into the front of my ws6 denting in the headlamp cover, putting a nice gouge in the bumper, crackin the hood. what makes it worse is that it happened in the parking lot of the body shop that i work at. atleast he paid for me to fix it, its better than not knowing who did it in my opinion

Damn, that sucks! Similar story here... That's why I gave up on the esterior for awhile and am finishing interior first.

If you're ever going to get a hood I would just wait and do it all at once...

On a side note, I love the new Gladiator avatar... Reflective of your mood I assume !

my car wasnt even out of site...
...i was 5 ft from my car and my friend back into it, scuffed up the bumper and pushed in the rear end of quarter panel a little bit, being the nice friend i let it slide, cleaned it up and it wasnt noticeable, then 6 months later i totaled my car, funny how that works...

Hey wow do I have great luck or what? Today I came back to my car to find someone snudged my rear bumper. I'm thinking it was backed into. The best part is I have pollen all over my car and you can see where whoever this ******* was went and wiped at the scratches to inspect the damage and then left. No note. What the ****.

^^ Is the paint cracked? That looks like you'll be ok. On a good note I got another quote today, from another very good shop, and it was $322. Its going in Monday.

It's not cracked. I'll attack it with my PC at a later date. Still highly annoyed by it though because it will have to be repainted to be restored. I also found an inch long scuff on my CME valence the other week so this is just ... injury to insult.

this may sound screwy, but i park my car as close to the front as i can. around the most people i can find. people have this ,out of site out of mind, mentality. and if you are parked in the nether regions of a parking lot, people will care less because "who's gonna see me?". and at walmart or a grocery store i always park near the cart returns. i have noticed others who are near the cart return tend to, uh, return the cart. within three cars lengths of the return anyway. so far my off the wall thinking has worked. not a single scratch or scuff yet.
