Dash panel cracking, common problem?

Dash panel cracking, common problem? I just went and picked up my brand new dash panel for my Z-28, $202.43 worth of cheap, flat, thin plastic. Has anyone else had theirs crack due to heat or cold? Mine busted apart like a piece of broken glass, this damn panel is a little too expensive to crack like that. Maybe this one will last another 10 years.
