Default Rust Spot!!

I found a rust spot on the rear tire weld. What would be a quick fix to keep it from getting worst. I was thinking maybe some sort of antirust and touch up paint?

depends how bad the rust is... for the most part steel wool 0000 or a high grit sand paper
I usually wash the are with alcohol and cotton ***** afterwards to make sure I have all the dirt and rust off then put touchup paint on the spot.

If you can spot blast it, do that. If not, wire brush and you can use a paint like Chassis Saver (tm) or por15 over the bare metal. These products seal the steel so further rust cannot happen. Alternatively there are rust reformers which change the rust into another substance that is hard as glass. The treated area can then be painted and sealed with any good paint. Rust is Us where I live....
