Default Want to do something different..

O.k., not too different. Just car looks too....bland I guess. Want to do something different, but not tacky. The hood is semi-gloss rattle can black (too tight to have it painted, and it looks sorta retro..lol) Thought about painting inside of headlights, and VHTing blinkers and side markers and blackouts on rear. But might seem too dark.?? What do you all think, maybe a stripe or something? Any opinions? Just please keep them clean, if you don't like my car that's cool.... Thanks.

Chris

I would start off by lowering.... well if you can. And the VHT or smoked corners/whistler headlights is also a good start.

well your on the right track with the headlights and signals but I would not go with blackouts for the back but thats just me

other than that maybe some aftermarket c5 z06 z28 badges i always thought they looked simple and clean and it looks like you already got the molding off

if you had an ss hood i would say stripe it but i love the simple looks of a cowl with stock colors

why would you ever LOWER a drag car? I think it looks great where it stands. I guess the painted headlights would look cool though.

First of all, I love the way the car looks now... BAD *** !!!

Going with the CHEAP theme (which others seem to forget you mentioned)...

I would definetly Whistler mod the headlights. I would NOT VHT anything. Just buy the black housing turn signals (they're cheap, like $20-$30 on ebay).

DON'T black out the back tail lights... Leave them alone or make them all read like mine (check out my homepage for pics).

Other than that I would put some old school chrome COWL INDUCTION emblems onthe cowl (should be cheap) and then if you still want something more maybe a hockey stripe in flat black (to match the hood).

I personally would ditch the stock Z28 emblems (plastic looks cheap to me) and either get old school Z28 emblem, old school V-Flag emblems or just leave it clean.

All of the above would set you back $200 AT MOST and would definetly make it even more bad *** looking

+2 on the old school badges. That car is not meant to be pretty, is mean to look hard, raw, pure muscle......it looks great!!

Haha, like the comments. But, no can't lower it at all. The 3" X-pipe is already like 2" off of the ground and it's a disaster to load it on a trailer as it is. I will probably do the whistler mod, but now I think you're all right, no blackouts on the rear. Would like to change the emblems though, good idea on the cowl induction emblems. That might actually work. Need to look into old Camaro or Z28 badges for the sides. What about a flat black berger panel? cool or not? Thanks for all your comments. Trying to keep the car simple and suttle, but different in places other f-body people might notice, make sence?

Or at least low-gloss/satin... Didn't realize you didn't have it already or I would have mentioned it as well.

Yea, yea. When you gonna pull your car in for a cam install????

Anyways, I'll probably just endup doing the berger panel and the old school badges and call it done. I know it sounds goofy or strange to some people, but I just can't spend $300 or so to paint the hood. The black seems to work and I can spend the money on go-fast parts. Just got the itch to do something different. Thanks for all the replies.
