How do you mount the cold cathode tubes under the dash? Velcro, double sided tape, is the tube mounted to something else before being mounted under the dash? Thanks for the input.

I had to screw mine in because no kind of tape would ever hold them. They are hidden so when they're not on, you would have no idea they are there.

i had red cathodes under thae dash that worked the same as my map/dome light. the map and dome lights where red colored bulbs from autozone. so door opens inside of the car glows red, was cool at 1st and got imo ricey

the red cathodes got broken (people dont know their their and kick them )
then i got some white cathodes look 100x better then the red cathodes (still had teh red map/dome bulbs)

then i bought some whits led bulbs for my map and dome and imo the best. and i still have the white cathodes by my feet but im gonna remove thoes.

I'd like to wire mine into the stock lighting switch, so when I roll it all the way up and all the lights in the car come on, these will do..

Anyone have a how-to for this?

Anybody have pics from the underside of the dash? I'm having a hard time figuring out where I could mount, say a 5 LED bar, without it being visable or getting kicked...

NufNuffZ28: can you make out any of the individual "dots" cast from your LEDs?

I have 4 RED LED tubes 1 on DS 1 on PS and 1 under each of the seats. I got it from a place on ebay that I dont think I can link to here :/ I was going to get the cold cathode but from what I hear they dont last very long and cant do 1/2 as much as my LEDs do. I wired it to my cigerette lighter so anytime the electricity is on, theyll work..
But before I wired it to that I put so theyd come on when the doors open/close and when the lights were on... it was retarded because they turned OFF while I was driving, and would only be on when the dimmer was switched all the way up, which meant I had the map lights on too..

These can go to beats w/ music, fade in out, flash, all that cool stuff, all by a small controller mounted on the side of the center console by my knee

Mine is a clear bar with 7 or so LEDs on one side of the bar shining THROUGH it. It is a good design and you have a uniform light with no "dots" so to speak.
