some quick shots of my detail

this one (i think) was after the swirl cutter and before the wax:

and these are when i finished up this evening, at least finished for the day:

i had planned on going out and getting some really good pics, but i ran my battery dead with the radio on while i was working, and our jumper cables arent worth a crap. so i'll probably go tomorrow. i really wish yall could see it in person - i never thought there would be so much of a noticeable difference in a white car.... but it looks and feels like a sheet of oiled glass. i'm in awe, and pictures just cant do any justice to the white...
i'll try to post some better pics tomorrow.

Good job on the car.
yea, they're a little too small. i just got a killer deal on em and couldnt pass em up. they're 265/35-18's. paid $700 for the set - BFG KD's. bought them barely used. the 4x4 look doesnt help either - makes them look smaller than they really are.
generic claybar with generic clay lube
i bought a cheapo single-speed orbital meguiars brand buffer/polisher, so i used it with a terry cloth bonnet to apply 3M polishing compound with carnuba wax (best thing i could find on a quick hunt, or i woulda ordered something better) - took about 4-5 hours total for this step, i took my time
Z6 polish
quick detailer
i also hit the wheels with the 3M stuff - had some unforgiving hard water spots on them that wouldnt budge. and i'm out of my zaino tire stuff, so i used some cheap junk i had laying around.
i've still got some more to do - trim, fenderwells, and i'd like to hit the insides of my rims. and lets not talk about my filthy interior. i may try to add at least one more coat of Z6 tomorrow as well. and i'd like to start on the b/f's Cobra tomorrow too... i cant wait to see the Kandy Kobalt on it after i get it polished up...
