I have been having the same problem lately with the front plate. The last time I got pulled over the cop said they were going to crack down HUGE this summer with no more warnings, just fines being issued. Something like this might not be a bad idea. I don't mind just screwing/unscrewing it for now though.

Can you shoot us a few pics of underneath the front bumper where you mounted it. I live in TX and same rules apply as you guys upstate, also I have a FMIC so something like this would be a good idea.

I live in IL too. I just bought that piece that goes where ur license plate goes. I'm in high school and cops sit around there.. ill get pulled over someday. It looks 10X better. Its gonna take a ticket to get me to take that off. But nice job on that!

They tried to pass that front plate law around here a couple of years ago, the outpouring of disapproval made them deny the law. I would have to eat the ticket since front plates look like crap.

I've been planning on making a flip down license plate for years - never got around to it. I just bought one from Trick Plate (www.trickplate.com) a few months ago and it works great. It's wireless and built into my key chain. I'm now thinking of ways to add some advertising to my hideaway plate when it is down (for at the show).
By the way, if you buy one of these and you send them a video of it on your ride, they will credit you back 10% of the sale price. They don't tell you this until you buy, but I think they give it to everyone.
