It's a Canon 1D-Mark II, but you don't really need a high-end camera to take these kind of pictures. A point and shoot style camera with around 5-6 megapixels should do just fine. Use a tripod!

Thanks for the comments guys, means a lot.

Ridiculously awesome picture man. I love the sky in it. Is the sky all natural or did you enhance it a little with post processing? Looks like you used at least a polarizer or you just shot on a perfect day. So easy for the true blue to get washed out and to lose that seperation between the clouds and the sky in pictures in my experience.

It's all post-processed. I was trying out a new post-processing technique and I ended up liking it. hint: shadows/highlights

I should post the original.

Great pic. Hot car.

I would have added some deeper color back in to the car. The black looks kinda of faded out. Affect works great for the sky and landscape but makes your shine look dull.

Shadows/Highlights, check! Seriously its like building a house. If people saw some of my "foundation" shots they wouldn't believe the difference after minimal post-processing. Its important to have a good foundation, but post-processing is where the vision comes alive IMO.

What lens did you use for that particular shot?

I totally agree. 99% of the pictures that get published are post-processed to the max!

That picture was taken with the 16-35mm.. definitely one of the best investment I've made.
