for my 98 T/A?

Or if someone can help me on how to paint them so
I can wax them and the wax wont take the paint off.

[The wax is taking the paint off my CETA.. :[ my dad
said we didnt need anything specific for it.. and now the
wax is taking it off ]

Please let me know thanks!

You can you use some VHT for the side markers. The wax is taking off the CETA? What kind of prep work was done prior to the CETA mod?

On the ceta you should of wet sanded it first with some 400 grit. If you vht the side markers I would of wet sanded them first too with some 600 or so taking them off the car of course.

make sure you're not using a crappy wax like turtle wax. i know the old stuff (in the tub) is abrasive and will cut right through paint.

no I use 5star
the CETA was wet sanded with idk what sand paper, wiped down with a denatured alcohal and dried with a microfiber towel, then coated with semi-gloss "plastic" paint [4 times] and not clear coated.
Could the clear coat be the issue?

And with the side markers
They are still stock looking but I'm afraid of doing the pain myself
and having the wax take it off and or the paint chipping and cracking from heat..

All paint should be clearcoated. I would have it repainted, and use primer and clear coat this time around. It's just going to keep peeling.

If you search on ebay, you can find smoke rear signal lights. Haven't found anyone that makes the fronts though.

You would have to run a bead of silicone around the lense to keep moister out.

I did find this though.

If it's a vinyl, then wax won't take it off.

I promise you can do the side markers, and if you some how find a way to screw them up, all you have to do is sand them and try again. You can buy vht from california custom coatings. Just google the company and you should be able to find it. With the side marker, just clean them with windex, lightly spray a coat, let it dry, and then repeat till they are as dark as you want them. You don't have to be afraid of going too dark because when you sand them to clear coat you'll probably take off some of the tint anyways. After you vht them, wet sand them with like 600 grit, clean them again, and then spray the clear coat. If you need to, sand again and then put down another layer.

Doesn't Autozone sell Nightshades? You can also get it from summit racing.
