I would tell her no because she will never be able to sell it again...if she does some pink accents like stripes or something, they can be later removed by the next owner. I think pink striping, pink badging etc would look fine...

That makes a lot of sense actually. That basically will destroy all resale value. There is a reason they coined the term "resale red". I think that's a good idea with just pink accents and not going all out pink.
Now what base color would go good with hot pink accents?

My car has hot pink accents (calipers, inserts, emblems, lid, a vinyl "congrats you just got passed by a girl" sticker in the back window).
I got tired of everyone asking if it was my dad's or my boyfriend's car.... I love it though, and I hated pink before I did it.
I knew a girl in high school who had a 3rd gen completly pink... it was horrid.

I am not discouraging her from modding it, but I think, depending on the shade of pink, it might be a bit much. She's my friend, I want her to be happy with the choice she's making, but I always tell her that the final choice is hers and she doesn't need my approval obviously. I am all for her modding the car as well, I am the one that's ordering all the parts for her.
The car in the pics you posted acutally doesn't look half bad!
if she really wants to go pink, I think with black accents it'd turn out alright. get black rims, black Z/28 emblems, and get an ss hood that's painted black around the scoop. and dark tinted windows. however, my personal opinion, like someone said, it would kill resale. if someone wanted to go with a base color and pink accents, black would be the best base color. on other hand, if she has the money to toss around on it, a bright blue or aqua kinda color would be awesome. she's definately pretty!
I think white and pink would look pretty cool for a cute girl. Black is horrible to keep clean and shows everything (like NBM!). White is relatively easy, pink accents would show up nicely and the car would look clean cut. For the accents I say fill-ins (front and rear), scoop fill in (not manta stripe) and if she wants, get some halo's and make the halo pink.
