Default removing adhesive from interior

i bought an 01z28 with carbon fiber crap all over the interior. i wripped all of the pieces of and used a hair dryer to get the two way sticky tape off. the only problem is that the center console lid is leather and it has the adhesive all over it. can i use rubbing alcohol or will it alter the color? what can i use?

i would start with something not as strong as alcohol, like a leather cleaner or diluted all purpose cleaner like simple green. there is a good chance rubbing alcohol could fade or stain your leather

1st post 4 me!! yay!!!!

Brake Cleaner Will Work. It Will Dry Out The Material Real Bad So Put Some Protectant On It When Done.

Good advice. So you don't mess things up though, spray the brake cleaner on the rag first. Then wipe it into the adhesive.

I'm with the guy above - use Goo Gone - not a worry about damage to any parts, and it works like a charm

Get some, you'll use it on a lot of other things. Kind of oily, kind of solvent, not harsh. It's made for removing glue, stickers, etc. Good stuff.
