Custom Door Panels
hey, i did a search and only found a few custom door panel pics, i wanna see what some of you guys have done to the fabric wise (im not interested in painted trim pieces)
i wanted to do them myself, but figured i would get prices locally
2 shops wanted 125 per door and an extra 75 per door if i wanted flames or lettering raised up thats 400 big ones ..
i want to keep a nice clean look so im gonno go with all black but i might do red stitching aroung the flames to match my redlinegoods boots and console lid
i went to a fabric store to try it myself instead of dishing out that kinda doe and i ended up talking to an older guy who did it for 30 year in newyork and moved here to retire but still does it out of his house on the side.. he gave me his card and quoted me 60 bucks for the pair for just the black vinyle and its an extra 25 if i want the flames or bowtie or lettering or whatever design (any color stitching) so 85 dollars for custom panels now thats a deal.. he said he has a few pic. albums full of the work he has done so he sounds petty legit
ok im done rambeling.. so please post up pics and if you did it youself or how much you paid to have them done...
thanks

i decided camaro door panels suck no matter what so i bought a set of 02' TA panels off of ebay. they should be here monday . i decided to wrap them in black vinyl with red inserts like vikingramair. im going to tackle this myself using his writeup, as well as the lastofthebreed write up. here is a pic of vikingramair's panels to give you an idea of what im talking about
i am doing the rest of the interior as well. this should make my car so much nicer inside. i hate the stock interior

keep an eye on ebay for some panels. i won these for 95bucks, and am having a family member who is up in Orlando this week pick them up so i avoid the shipping costs
mine don't have any cracks, but if you if you wrap the entire panel it doesn't matter if they have the notorious TA door panel crack or not. be sure to strengthen the back of the panel if its not cracked, and semi fix the crack if it is so it cant be scene through the vinyl. both processes can be found in this thread https://ls1tech.com/forums/pontiac-firebird-1967-2002/440767-cracked-interior-door-panel-don-t-quote-pics.html
