Default Hit a deer yesterday

The little phucker jumped out of the ditch. Now just need to decide if I want to stick with the SLP hood or make a change (although I'm not really into raised cowl type hoods). Looking for a Ram-Air style hood that fits well. Any suggestions?

At least it didn't go through the windshield.

Looks like you had a good looking car.

ASCD, Suncoast, Mecham as well as a couple others have hoods out there that follow more along the SS lines (or in Mechams case have an Ultra Z look, but with some venting towards the rear).

Stick with what you've got. Not that many people run the Ultra Z, and if you liked it enough originally no need to stray from that.

yeah that sukcs, but just upgrade your hood. Ive had a few close calls with deer around here, but ive found out they move if you honk your horn. if it wasnt for that i would of hit one by now.

Well it looks like I'm getting the "True" SS hood. Thanks to a mix-up by the claims adjuster he quoted a factory SS hood. He's gonna try to talk the body shop (that is in bed with the insurance company) into getting the Ultra Z (Cuz it's about $1200 cheaper) but the shop says they won't order any parts off the internet. I'll be happy with either one because I was 50/50 between the SS and Ultra Z when I got the Ultra Z. As long as it's not the stock Z28 hood I'm happy and I was assured by both the shop and the adjuster that I'm getting something with scoop.
