1st time claybar user....
i dont know for sure but i dont think you can get more bars i think you have to get a new kit everytime, if you want our sponsor TropiCare carrys everything you could ever need for cleaning and sells them seperate just look on side of screan for his sponsor icon hes cool....
If you do a search on google for clay bar you'll find some links associated to just buying a clay bar.
Some of them are pretty expensive (like $25-30) for just the clay, but you typically get a bigger clay (say 200g vs 100g) then some of the kit products.
TropiCare's clay looks like its a kickass price compared to some of the others I saw.

that's not a bad idea....i've got a roll of painter's plastic left over from my homemade paint booth.....i could use that i suppose.

As said above the deatailer is going to dry and then the clay will stick to the car wich is a bitch to take off.
I just mix a fresh batch off soap in a bucket but a spray bottle sound like a good idea. I just like alot of lube to let it slide.

i found when i clayed my car that when the clay dosent drag on the paint you have done enough, i got the hang of it by the drivers side door, witch was the last part i did. it took me 4 hr to clay and wax, i bet i could do it in half the time now. i also used the kit worked great.
At Tropi-Care, we offer the 100 gram cool gray clay bar (mild composition) for $11.39. For the lube, we typically use and recommend 1/2 capful of our TC-6 Car Wash mixed with 16 ounces of distilled water for our lubricant. This mixture does not contribute to clay bar breakdown or sticking to the paint surface. Once completed, a simple rinse of the vehicle is usually sufficient.

Car soap can be used with good results too!
All the autoparts I know of it sell it. I like meguirsar there a prettygood company and been around forever. The NXT as the 3rd step is GREAT! I think you might should go read on there forum too helpful stuff.

I have a black car and i was told that to go back and forth in the same direction and not to keep switching from up down to side to side and to not rub in circles. when i run out of the detailer i add a little soap to the bottle and fill with water.
