OK so how many here have the factory ground effects? Or are they called body kits? How do you like it? Im looking at a car that has them.

I think it's all personal preference. You're gonna get a ton of replies from people on here saying they absolutely hate them and that you should take them off immediately if you buy the car, but if you like them I say leave them.

I had them on my car for about a year after I bought it, and I took them off one day, mainly because the paint was beginning to come off on both side skirts, but I also got tired of how they looked. All up to you, buddy. I love the color, by the way. Very unique

i love the spoiler but kind of iffy on the rest. i would take off the kit pieces and leave the spoiler on, odds are you would end up losing one eventually by pulling in to far anyways

that's a pretty rare color isn't it? especially if it came with the body kit from the factory.

The color is amazing and as the car stands right now it looks good. Personally I wouldn't buy them to put them on my car but I wouldn't mind them on their if it came like that either.

I have an Artic White Z28 with ground effects and am thinking about removing the kit.

Are there any holes to fill or body work required after the kit is removed?

Yeah, there are holes. If you have them on there you'd be better off leaving them unless you really don't like them.

I didn't have much of a choice when I found this car. The S.A.P. was the only thing I didn't like about it and I hated the S.A.P.'s when they first came out on the RS's. But I have to say that I've actually grown fond of the look. You just have to drive a lot more careful because it is very easy to smack the front spoilers on inclines. Mine are off right now getting repaired and repainted.

This is my second Z/28 w the sport appearance package. I like it over the SS. Wish the SS had the skirts and front dam, I would have bought the SS twice already.

I think the factory ground fx look great. My car came stock with them and every time I see one without, it looks like the car is missing something. Car appears lower too, so you can get away with not lowering it as much. If you put sub frame connectors on, it covers them too. There is about a 50/50 of people who like them on here and goes both ways. Alot of aftermarket front spoilers even look better, good thing with the stock ground fx, if you want to change up the look, you only really need a different front spoiler. I'm thinking about getting the one that replaces the front with the ground fx built in, for a cleaner look. I've never had any issues with mine scraping since I have had the car(since 2002).
