Interior Opinions please...w/in
Everything I have changed/done to the car to date, can be swapped back to stock within an hour. I did this with the intent that I could always convert it back to stock if I ever chose to, since it is the last production year.
I got some prices yesterday from a very reputable interior shop to do the centers of my seats in a medium pewter cloth (GM Chevy material, just not Camaro material) to match my Pewter paint. Basically, it'd look sorta like a 35th Anniversary Edition SS seat, but it would be all cloth, with all factory stitching remaining.
The dilemma is, if I do this, it's permanent, and I can't swap it back. I know alot of you guys bought these cars for the performance aspect, but does anyone think that a 2002 Z28 will actually have any collector value one day? In other words, should I do this, or leave it alone and stick to stuff that I could easily swap back?
I think it will look
I also can't see buying another set of the seats I don't like...it's more a matter of "do it and lose originality or leave it and keep originality"...
MadIce - For the cloth I got a price of $200 each for the fronts and $300 for the rear...
As far as a future "collector" car, I doubt it will be one any time soon. Look at some of the other cars that production was stopped, and then restarted a few years later down the road (GTO, T-Bird, Rustang, etc). No real collector car value on that last year car at all. At least no more than previous year cars.
Ron,
