This is a picture of the front of my car.

I've lowered it and added a rear SS spoiler since the pictures were taken. With the glossy black on the hood, the SLP grill, the mirrors and the top I thought the flat or semi-gloss black panel would look out of place.

I've thought about removing the SLP grill and going with a black tube grill with a 69 Z/28 emblem on it.
Do you mean black billet grille? That's what I did with mine.

SuperDave479: How hard was it to paint your headlights? Did you get an extra pair, or are those your origionals? Can you post a closeup of the headlight?

WOW!!! this appearance mod looks awesome ...props to all of the cars in this thread.

Probably a dumb question, but can anyone tell me what paint they used, how long it took, and any tips on doing this mod?

ultraz: all I used was a can of bondo body filler, and a lot of sanding!!! I just kept sanding, spray a little primer over it to see if it was all the way smooth and then sand the bad looking areas. Took me off and on of working 2 days.

Not hard at all. All you have to do it pop the hatch, pull back the carpet, unscrew the tail-lights and then unscrew the tail-pannel (4 screws). Takes a total of like 10mins. Really easy to do.

I believe the correct color, is "Satin Black" cause I looked on the window sticker of the camaros made by GMMG cause they sell them here in Kennesaw, and it says "Satin Black Berger Panel" on the window sticker. just my .02

imo, on most color combo's, that looks really sweet. On silver, pewter, red and white i think it makes the rear end that much more appealing seein the "CAMARO" back there filled in.

I think the flat black looks like ***. I have never liked it on any car, old school included.

I think a gloss black or mid sheen would be the ticket

Not hard once I got the right instructions and used a little patience. They're my originals. I only have two pics of it. Here's the other one:

Here are high res versions of those pics though:
