well to remove it properly you need to remove the bumper cause the bolts are behind the bumper. I just cut it off with a pair or wire cutters...

ive heard that the easiest way is just to yank it off, i already got me a billet grille that i have not installed yet because im a bit scared ill break something, but after doing a search, i think this is the best way to go. cant get myself to do it though.

I ripped mine out one day when I was pissed off working on something else on the car. All you have to do is take both the sides out, they are easy. Then i just pried my fingers underneath it ripped the bottom out then yanked it off from the top. Everything looked good, and it was out. Was alot quicker then taking the whole bumper off would have been like i originally planned on.

dammm.....your a braver man than me. so let me get this straight,
1...take out the sides
2...rip the bottom out
3...rip the top out
did u do it in stages or tried to get it all out at once like a band-aid?

just take one end and bend it back just far enough you can see the bracket. Cut them..do it on both sides and you wont have to worry about breaking anything.

If you start from one end and work your way across, you won't have any problems. Just grab one corner and slowly pull it forward toward you until the clips pop out. Slowly work your way across pulling it toward you and you'll get it out, no problem.

the "correct" way is to remove the bumper (which isn't hard or time consuming), but you will have no problems just yanking that thing off the car. That's what just about everyone here has done it seems.

What are you replacing it with, or are you leaving it off all together?

I'm just gonne post up what I PM'ed to kbronSS for everyone else:

When I just got my car I was skeptical of this too... I couldn't understand how you could just pull it out and not ruin something so I wouldn't do it.

One day I got sick of looking at it so I tried it.

First there is a clip on each side of the bumper... pull on the fins in the fake air inlets and start to bend the bumper SLOWLY till you can see the clips. Once you see the clips you'll know how hard or which way you have to pull in order to get them out. Get one out on each side. Perfect.... NEXT

Now there are 3 clips on top and 3 on bottom. The 3 on top are tougher than the bottom ones so you might wanna start at the bottom. Personally I just worked my way over with whichever one I felt comfortable taking out at the time. Now everytime a clip comes out you'll hear a loud POP! Don't be alarmed, it's normal and the top ones will be louder.

Once you start to pull off the grill you'll start to figure out where each clip is. Just concentrate at getting one out at a time, pulling only in the area of the clip you want out and everything should be ok. It looks like **** when it comes off at first because of years of being on there but just get some soap and water clean it up, then give the area a nice wax and she looks just as good as the rest of the car.

Just be careful and go slow and you won't have any problems. Hope this helped, Good Luck.

Chris
